THE CONSTITUTION OF SWINDON VILLAGE BOWMEN FOOTBALL CLUB

 

PURPOSE:  Formed for the mutual enjoyment and participation of the members of Swindon Village Bowmen Football Club.

 

GOVERNMENT:  The Club shall be run under the auspices of a duly elected committee made up of members of the Club.  The Club shall be governed at all time by the decisions of the majority of Club members present at meetings properly called in accordance with the rules agreed, except where otherwise hereinafter laid down.

 

OFFICERS:  The Committee shall consist of a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Child Protection Officer, Fund Raising Secretary and two representatives from Parents of Club members.  Further Committee members may be co-opted as deemed necessary by the existing Committee.  The Club officers will run the affairs of the Club and preside over all meetings in accordance within the Club constitution and rules.

 

ACCOUNTING:  There shall be a properly maintained record of the Club’s accounts which shall be available for inspection at any time to the Club officers and the members of the Club.  A full statement of accounts shall be presented to the members of the Annual General Meeting after the end of each playing season.

 

CONTRIBUTIONS:  Members shall make regular contributions to the Club in such an amount as shall be agreed by Club Committee members.

 

 

RULES AND REGULATIONS

The Club shall be called “Swindon Village Bowmen Football Club’.

No Club rule may be changed unless the proposed alteration has been fully notified to every member, either at a General Meeting or by letter and 75% of the persons then voting in person or by proxy, so agree.

The officers of the Club shall be Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Child Protection Officer, Fund Raising Secretary, two parent Club members.

 

 

b

Prior to the commencement of each season, Club members will meet for the purpose of electing a Manager/Coach for each respective team.  At the discretion of the Club Officers, this may be done at the AGM.

The Annual General Meeting shall be held no later than July 31st each year during which the Officers for the coming year shall be elected and the Treasurer shall present the accounts as called for in the Club constitution.

 

 

 

b

The minutes from the previous AGM shall be presented for acceptance by the Club members.

 

 

c

As required, General meetings may be called at the discretion of the Club Officers.

All funds shall be banked in an account opened on behalf of the Club and registered in the names of two nominated members of the Club.

An auditor for the accounts and affairs of the Club shall be appointed from the general body of members at the Annual General Meeting.

All players shall be bona fide, full paid up members of Swindon Village Bowmen Football Club.

The Club equipment purchased and used by any SVB team shall remain the property of Swindon Village Bowmen Football Club.

Prior to the commencement of each season, all Club members will be liable to a payment of an annual membership fee, as outlined in the Club rules.

Players shall be required to provide any relevant information sheets and consent forms before the start of each season.

 

 

c

Players participating in the C&G Youth League shall be liable to pay a registration fee.  Normally this liability would be met by Swindon Village Bowmen Football Club.

All Club members shall abide by the rules of C&G Football League and any club/venue they may be attending.

Any matters not covered by these rules, including disciplinary matters, shall be dealt with by the duly elected Officers of the Club and their decisions shall be final.
